THE FINCH FILES
Some questions are easy to ask.
Others are more interesting because they're difficult to answer.
The Finch Files is an independent British publishing and media project built around stories, satire and questions worth asking.
THE IDEA
The Finch Files began with a simple idea: complicated subjects don't always have to be approached in the same way.
Books are only the beginning.
From publishing and journalism to games, audio and interactive media, The Finch Files explores contemporary Britain through humour, curiosity and storytelling — without insisting that every complicated question has a simple answer.
QUESTIONS
Some are serious.
Some are absurd.
The interesting ones are often both.
STORIES
Characters and storytelling allow familiar subjects to be seen from unfamiliar angles.
SATIRE
Quietly British.
Occasionally uncomfortable.
Never interested in shouting the answer.
WHY A FINCH?
For generations, small birds were carried underground because they noticed danger before the people around them could.
The Finch Files borrows something from that idea.
Notice things.
Ask Questions.
Write them down.
